We are looking for a compassionate, conscientious and hardworking Assistant Program Coordinator!

The Assistant Program Coordinator works as part of a team to provide direct supports, guidance, education, advocacy and supervision for individuals with developmental and/or cognitive disabilities.


The Assistant Program Coordinator takes a leadership role for both identified individuals and the household, helps individuals live safely in the community, maintain their physical and emotional health, foster relationships with housemates, family and community and develop the skills necessary to increase the individual’s independence. Interaction between staff and individuals will reflect an appreciation of each individual’s uniqueness.


As a member of the team, the Assistant Program Coordinator supports the human rights of individuals through the development of self-worth, empowering individuals to become the primary decision-makers in their lives. They offer a listening and counseling presence for individuals with questions and concerns.


In the Program Coordinator’s absence, the Assistant Program Coordinator assumes responsibility for day to day operations of the home.

Schedule: (40 hrs)

 Tuesday 10:00am-6:00pm

 Wednesday 10:00am-6:00pm

 Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm

 Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm

 Saturday 9am-5pm

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license


 

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities with at least one year in residential services preferred
