Full-Time Employee Relations Specialist

Job Summary:


Employment Type: Full Time Non-Exempt.
Notes: Internal position (no third party involved).

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for the development and administration of the employee relations program, and be responsible for facilitating employee relations and resolving any human resource issues as required with the aim of building a positive and engaged work environment. This position interfaces with employees, and educational institutions.

The Employee Relations Specialist will also be managing our Kaygen Connect Program, a one-of-a-kind community for talent that provides new opportunities, education, health, wellness, and care programs. We enable our talent to continuously improve while our professional development team proactively assists and supports our employees.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Managing and leading employee communications as the point of contact to offer guidance and enhancements to their career. Giving them information on benefit programs Kaygen offers to enhance their overall experience.
  • Oversees the career development for employees within the organization.
  • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company’s standards.
  • Ensuring the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
  • Partnering with both senior business stakeholders and HR teams to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices for Kaygen Connect program.
  • Collating and analyzing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
  • Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
  • Some understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies.
  • Some knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resource management, communications, psychology or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 2 years internship in human resource or any customer facing role
