Senior Gifts Officer

The Senior Gifts Officer works with the Vice President of Development to develop and implement strategies for raising unrestricted funds in support of Riverside’s mission through mid- to major-level corporate and individual donors and events. 
 

The Senior Gifts Officer will:

  • Be responsible for corporate development, including event sponsorship, identification of new opportunities, and cultivation of relationships
  • Meet fundraising goals for a portfolio of corporate donors
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of mid- to major-level individual donors
  • Meet fundraising goals for a portfolio of mid- to major-level donors
  • Manage all aspects of event planning for our signature and special events, including securing venue, working with vendors, ensuring we have volunteers, working with honorees, producing materials, mailings, program, ticket sales
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to event chairs and committee members
  • Create and maintains website postings, online registrations, and social media posts for events
  • Coordinate with marketing department and third-party designers to create all event related materials, including invitations

Our ideal candidate is a team player who is upbeat, demonstrates excellent multi-tasking skills and has a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.

Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000/year depending on experience

Schedule: Hybrid with one day in the office preferred each week; requires some in-person meetings with donors and in-person attendance at events

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with ConstantContact a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate, and able to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team
  • Strong interest in and commitment to Riverside mission
  • Willingness and availability to work some evenings and early mornings
  • Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel around the state


 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three plus years of development experience, ideally in direct fundraising and fundraising events
  • Facility with development information systems and databases a plus
