You would be responsible for working independently to act as an impartial judge to identify possible noncompliance with policies and procedure. Working closely with the Representative Payees who track financial transactions for over 130 Individuals whom we provide services to. Ensure that account reconciliations and variances are addressed in a timely manner.

 

This is a fast-paced position, auditing for various programs and 30 group homes in the North Shore of Massachusetts.

 

This position is 100% on site in Lawrence MA.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Maintain audit schedule for all individual representative payee accounts across all programs.
  • Perform ongoing audits for individual representative payee accounts.
  • Perform ongoing reconciliations and audits for house account pretty cash transactions and reimbursements.
  • Identify audit findings, communicate audit findings and follow-up on audit findings.
  • Perform investigations on any missing funds.
  • Train new Representative Payees on proper process as staff turnover occurs.
  • Maintain current on Social Security issues and regulation.
  • Process Agency cash receipts via remote capture deposits as well as in person bank deposits when required.
  • Manage and execute ad hoc projects or duties as assigned by the Controller and/or CFO.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business or Banking preferred or equivalent practical experience of a minimum of three years.
  • Financial services knowledge with the ability to clearly communicate this to others.
  • Ability to maintain and promote positive working relationships across all client services programs.
  • Ability to produce high quality work reflecting attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity.
