Family Office Intern

This Standard Management Services Internship is a paid summer 2024 intern experience that will be based in our New York, NY office. The ideal candidate for this position is a college student with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, an understanding of technology, and well-developed organizational and communication skills.

 

POSITION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, among other things, the following:

  • Assist with all aspects of the Family Office’s treasury and accounts payable processes for a variety of businesses, trusts and high net worth individuals
  • Process invoices and obtain invoice approval in accordance with company signing and delegation policy
  • Process vendor payments by wire and online bill pay
  • Setup new vendors and maintain vendor list
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects, as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be actively pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications and excellent computer skills expected
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Willingness and capability to learn and grow
  • Interested in family offices, hedge funds, investing, and personal financial planning

Salary Range: $20-25/ hour, commensurate with experience along with a housing allowance for those that do not live in the NYC area

Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. Problem solving, project management and communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team.
