Harvard College EDI Team: Johnson Climate Action Grant Project Manager (Part Time)

This project will support a three-part program series that will culminate with the already existing Engaged Scholarship and Social Justice Conference. By incorporating an interdisciplinary model of learning, the initial two programs will focus on deepening the Harvard communities’ understanding and knowledge of the effects that climate change has on BIPOC’s lived experiences.

The LHT in this role will support the EDI staff in the following ways:

  • Manage timelines for communications and event planning and execution
  • Forecast program budgets, forecast spending, track expenditures 
  • Event management:
    • Reserve rooms, arrange catering, manage aesthetic
    • Create run-of-show documents and facilitate events
    • Coordinate spending; reconcile budgets
    • Ensure event accessibility efforts are in place
  • Communications:
    • Create communications schedules, plans & templates for events 
    • Draft/proof/format special announcements related to Climate Action Grant events
    • Proactively advertise events across College partner group lists (The Beat, Yard Bulletin, You’re Invited, academic departments, College calendar, OEDIB, FAS EDIB, etc.)
    • Advertise events to various student listservs as is relevant to each event and program
    • Social Media management
  • Program Assessment
    • Will work to develop /gauge impact measures
  • Will work in:
    • GSuite/GCalendar
    • Microsoft 365 
    • Canva
    • Instagram 
    • MailChimp (email templates/formats/audience management)
    • FAS mailman system (listserv management)
