Job Description

Position Overview

The Pratt & Whitney 30K Program Management organization is looking for a dynamic intern to join their team this summer! This is a full-time, 3-month commitment from May-August. The intern will support and organize program reviews, team meetings and other regular business activities, as well as manage and status execution and financial plans specific to programmatic objectives. They will also assist in business performance tasks within 30K Program Office, including operational performance and cost management. The Program Management Office intern will gain valuable experience as an integral member of the 30K Geared Turbofan team.  Ongoing activities will support growth in project management, metrics development, product enhancement and budget oversight.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Work directly with the 30K program manager

Manage projects by gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources

Collaborate with team members representing program management, engineering, operations, quality, aftermarket and finance

Assist in closure of open action items

 

Basic Qualifications

Pursuing undergrad or post-graduate degree in field of Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Science, or Mathematics

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

Must be motivated self-starters who meet deadlines, maintain steady performance under pressure and be able to manage multiple tasks

 

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI

Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management

Ability to build effective relationships through partnering and collaboration

Ability to operate in a dynamic and challenging, team-oriented environment

Demonstrated project management leadership with accomplishments in a related field

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
