The Summer Intern program at CooperSurgical provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.

As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to CooperSurgical’s Quality System, ISO 13485 standards, compliance, and design controls. You will develop operations business acumen, and skills such as data collection and analysis, and problem solving through production issues, customer complaint investigations, CAPAs and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Help to Develop Workflows
  • Redline and Process Procedural Updates
  • Establish Standardized Forms, Reports
  • Assist the Global Quality organization non special projects in the areas of: Compliance, Design Quality, CAPA, Quality Systems, Document Control, Training and Regulatory Audits.

Travel: 

<5% domestic travel

 

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
