Full Time Teacher's Assistant - Streamwood, IL

LearnWell is currently looking for an organized and energetic teacher's assistant to fill a full-time role within our behavioral health facility in Streamwood, IL.

The teacher's assistant will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment. The teacher's assistant will play a very important role of keeping organization among students, their schoolwork, and admission documentation.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collecting admission paperwork for each student at the beginning of each day, assessing the paperwork for any missing information, completing missing paperwork and then sending over to our central admin team to input into our CRM
  • Updating the CRM database with current class census
  • Reaching out to parents and other stakeholders via phone and email
  • Assisting the teacher with any lesson prep for the day
  • Assisting the teacher with any printing, copying, scanning, or returning of student curriculum
  • Running small groups under the supervision of a certified teacher

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, hours have some flexibility based on candidate preference. Qualifications

  • B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
  • Comfortable working with students K-12
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
  • Reliable Transportation
