Academic Graduate Assistant- Athletics

Georgia State University Athletics Department is currently accepting applications for Academic Graduate Assistants!

Academic Graduate Assistants will be integral members of the Panther Academic Support and Student-Athlete Development Staff and will be responsible for providing comprehensive educational support to student-athletes and academic advisors through learning strategy enhancement, academic skill development, and pertinent administrative tasks. This program provides a hands-on learning experience in student-athlete academic services and prepares individuals for full-time positions in the industry in the future.

Primary Job Duties:

• Assist with day-to-day operations within the academic staff. 
• Work one-on-one with student-athletes to assist with organization, time management, and overall academic progress.
• Prepare weekly reports that include grade reports, study hall attendance reports, assignment sheets, etc. 
• Flexible schedule must be able to work some evenings. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree or currently completing. 
• Excellent oral and interpersonal communication, analytical, and writing skills.
• Willingness to learn/adaptability. 
• Attention to detail.

Duration: 

• Performance will be evaluated on a semester-by-semester basis.

Compensation:

• GSU Graduate Student
  • Tuition waiver 
  • Stipend range: $500-$1000/semester
• Hourly Pay (based on experience)
