Healthcare Data Analyst - Data Services in Albany, NY

The candidate will serve on the Portfolio Management Operations unit, in the Bureau of Enterprise Data Governance in the Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA).  The candidate’s day-to-day responsibilities will be to act as a business analyst for Data Sharing.  The candidate will work with all program areas with the Office of Health Insurance Programs.

Responsibilities:    

• Communicate and escalate when data request deliverable due dates are at risk
• Assists in the development and delivery of written communications, presentations and webinars to internal and external stakeholders ensuring that information is relayed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provides program and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Assists in the development/coordination of training programs for staff.
• Performs research and analysis activities.
• Tracks project or program objectives.

Requirements and/or certifications desired for position 

• 2 years of SAS, SQL, Python, R, or other statistical analysis software experience
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills required.
• Experience with SharePoint or other project/task management or process flow tools preferred.
