Advancement Intern

HOLY CROSS FAMILY MINISTRIES 

Holy Cross Family Ministries is a family of Catholic ministries that inspires, promotes, and fosters the prayer life and spiritual well-being of families throughout the world. Located in Easton, MA on the nearby grounds of the prestigious, Congregation of Holy Cross sponsored Stonehill College, Holy Cross Family Ministries is blessed with a sizable endowment, multiple long-established and proven ministries across the United States and in sixteen other countries on five continents across the world. Founded by the well-known and beloved Venerable Patrick Peyton, “The Rosary Priest,” in 1942.  

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Title: Advancement Intern  

Type: Part-time/seasonal 

Hours: 20 hrs/week 

Location: North Easton, MA 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The Advancement Intern reports to and works closely with the Advancement Services and Communications Manager while collaborating with other staff to assist in the day-to-day operations to help achieve the goals of the Advancement Department. The Advancement Department is responsible for the fundraising activities that support all the programs of Holy Cross Family Ministries. The fundraising program includes but is not limited to the following elements: direct mail marketing, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grant research and writing, print and electronic donor communications, planned giving, and special events. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform prospect research and analysis on individuals, religious organizations, corporations, and foundations using iWave and Candid.
  • Assist with creating copy for multiple email appeal campaigns and increasing mission awareness and growing constituency through social media.
  • Print and prepare materials for stewardship mailings
  • Proofread documents for direct mail appeals and newsletters
  • Support Advancement with special projects and perform other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to prioritize and meet deadlines
