Behavior Interventionist

The Behavior Improvement Group ABA Clinic at Oregon Tech is a University affiliated regional clinic currently providing clinic-based services to children within Klamath County. At BIG we work tirelessly to provide outstanding, ethical and empirically-based services rooted in the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis. At Oregon Tech, you’ll be given a diverse caseload, ongoing training and scheduled mentorship to help nurture and grow your clinical skills. The position of Behavior Interventionist reports to the Clinical Director.

Responsibilities associate to this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct implementation of ABA treatment goals and data collection system
  • Data collection during sessions
  • Assist behavior analysts with assessments
  • Write session/progress notes with correct grammar and spelling

Departmental Information: 

The Humanities and Social Sciences department offers undergraduate degrees in Applied Psychology and Population Health Management, minors in ALPs, Medical Sociology, and Psychology, Masters degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis, and a diverse collection of courses in support of Oregon Tech’s general education mission. All our programs work closely with community partners to provide applied learning experiences for our students. Qualification Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer), supporting community programs that serve children, youth, or adults; OR Associate Degree and one year of work experience (paid or volunteer) which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions AND
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.
  • Successful completion of a background check (fingerprints required)
  • Ability to complete training in CPR and crisis intervention and prevention; and to do so within a provided timeline
  • Ability to move objects weighing over 50 pounds
  • Ability to effectively and respectfully work, communicate, and collaborate in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as databases and specialized programs

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • RBAI (Registered Behavior Analyst Interventionist) or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) credentials
  • History of working with children with disabilities
  • History of working with children
