Actuarial Intern
This is a summer internship starting in the summer, with the possibility to extend into the school year. You will support the US Reserving or Pricing actuarial team, and you will see how actuaries assess risk associated with insurance products and how they interact with various departments in the company. You will receive training in Actuarial principles and hands-on experience using Excel and other productivity tools. This internship will be project-focused and you will work on actuarial projects analyzing claims, reserves, and reinsurance. You may also be involved in researching industry data to help benchmark insurance products.
Requirements:
• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Strong GPA; 3.0 or higher required
• At least one passed Actuarial exam with intention to continue studying for exams
• Leadership experience through work or involvement in community service, athletics, clubs, or other activities preferred
• Demonstrable record of high achievement, analytical thinking, self-motivation, and relationship building
• Highly collaborative
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Technical aptitude/digital savviness
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, VBA, and R/Python preferred
