The Decision Lab is an applied behavioral science consulting firm based in Montréal. Our mission is to democratize the insights generated by ​​behavioral insights to help people live better lives. We’re in search of a writer who can translate the science and art of decision-making into captivating, rigorous content pieces. You'll collaborate closely with our Publication Director and Lead Editor to craft content that resonates with our diverse audience, broadens our reach, and amplifies our impact across a variety of sectors.

What you'll be working on

  • Crafting compelling and insightful content that aligns with TDL's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborating with the content and consulting teams to develop new topics, formats, and narratives rooted in decision science.
  • Translating complex behavioral science theories into engaging and accessible content.
  • Conducting thorough research to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and timeliness.
  • Adhering to editorial guidelines and processes.
  • Contributing to the development of our content strategy.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and strategy discussions to advance TDL’s thought leadership in the field.
     

What we're looking for

  • Experience: 1+ years in a writing role with a strong portfolio of published work. Experience in a strategic, science-related, or digital communication environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Your writing doesn’t just demonstrate a mastery of English, it’s evocative, engaging, and accessible.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to delve into complex topics and emerge with clear, compelling narratives.
  • Research Skills: Proficient in conducting thorough research to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Business Sense: You have a knack for weaving strategic insights into your narratives.
  • Culture: You’re proactive, an independent thinker, and a collaborative team player.
  • Technological Adaptability: Familiar with digital tools used in content management and analytics.
  • Global Sensibility: Ability to cater to a global audience while honoring individual cultural nuances.
