About the Program
The Emerging Investor Program (EIP) is an internship program dedicated to recruit, train and develop a strong cohort of young investment professionals who would grow with Hillhouse in the long term. EIP recruits high-caliber undergraduate students from top universities around the globe and offers them a full-time internship during their sophomore or penultimate year of study. Postgraduate and PhD students are also welcome to apply. Qualified interns will be an integral part of our investment team, working closely alongside our seasoned investment professionals. Each intern will be assigned a mentor from our investment team. Top-performing interns will receive a full-time return offer to continue this exciting journey.
Timeline:
- Application submission: Starting December 2023
- Interview period: Applications for our 2025 program are now open. We review applications on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply as soon as you are ready, as interviews can occur prior to applications closing

Requirements
- Students from top universities globally graduating in December 2024 - July 2025
- Strong passion for investing and research, with a good command of financial analysis and solid investment knowledge
- Prior internship in leading public investment institutions, private equity funds, sell-side equity research firms, investment banks, consulting firms, etc.
- Independent and analytical thinking, and a strong team player actively contributing in a group setting
