Job Description
Otsuka Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Office seeks a summer intern for Summer 2024 to support DE&I program development, planning and implementation
Candidate will support the DE&I Office with various activities, including:
DE&I Program Support
Attend and participate in meetings and discussions with key stakeholders to understand DE&I strategy, goals and initiatives
Provide project management support for internal and external events
Conduct research and locate resources in support of projects
Assist in event management support for internal events and with strategic alliances
Provide support in the review of program materials, communications, and newsletter for DE&I Office and employee resource groups (ERG) events
Analyze reports on DE&I and ERG program engagement, assessments, and feedback
Participate in discussions on how best to engage employees, increase participation and measure outcomes
Support DE&I Office as needed on special projects / ad hoc requests
Qualifications/ Required
Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
Experience using Microsoft Office, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects while executing on key deliverables within required timeframes
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Familiarity with collaboration tools, such as SharePoint and MS Teams
Understanding of diversity, equity & inclusion ideals, and concepts necessary to provide input and feedback on assignments
Course work in psychology, social science, social justice, law, DE&I, or similar area of study
Educational Qualifications
Minimum
Enrolled in a BA/BS or graduate program at an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must have completed at least the 3rd year of BA/BS level studies prior to this internship

Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrate ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
