Deerpath Capital Management provides senior debt financing to middle market companies. Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul and Brisbane.
Internship Overview
Deerpath seeks highly motivated and team-oriented students interested in the investment industry to work within an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Portfolio Reporting team by inputting various financial statement data into reporting data systems
- Support senior team members engage with borrowers to understand financial performance and underwrite new credit exposure to existing platform accounts
- Assist with regularly scheduled risk reviews
- Assist with quarterly valuations of each portfolio company
- Assist with maintaining reports and schedules pertaining to portfolio companies
- Assist in ad hoc reporting and analytic projects
- Perform other tasks as necessary
Desired Skills & Experience
- Sophomore attending college with a concentration in finance or economics
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
- Initiative-taking and proactive individual with an ability to work independently at times
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Internship Program Dates
Deerpath is seeking an intern for Summer 2024 for the Chicago office. This will be a hybrid position (in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays).
