Global Ventures Summer 2024 Internship - Post Graduates

Open for: Undergraduates and Postgraduates
Program Start Date: 19th June 2024
Program Duration: 6 weeks
Locations: Global (virtual)
Application Deadline: 31st of March (offers will be sent out on a rolling basis)

Last year’s program included 24 interns of 15 nationalities based across 14+ cities and from 19+ universities, including Oxford, Yale, LBS, HBS, MIT, Wharton, INSEAD, NYU, HEC Paris and more.

As a member of our team, the intern will gain a holistic understanding of venture capital investing from sector mapping, deal origination, diligence and execution to value creation in portfolio companies. S/he will work collaboratively with our team to evaluate and execute investment opportunities and drive growth within our portfolio companies.

Global Ventures is an international venture capital firm that invests in global-mindset, growth-stage companies across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Our vision is to back the highest potential companies in the region, as a trusted partner to entrepreneurs as they seek to achieve scale and success.

Our dynamic team has been built on the core values of excellence, diversity and inclusiveness - “everyone’s voice counts”- and the interns' can too. We are looking for curious, adaptable self-starters to join us for a remote internship for 6 weeks in Summer of 2024.

The internship program will include a training program, a lecture series by industry leaders and a mentorship program. Previous guest lecturers included David Fialkow (General Catalyst Partners), GV Ravishankar (Sequoia), Hemant Taneja (General Catalyst), Ramez Shehadi (REEF), Alan Patricof (Greycroft), Chris Rogers (Lumia), Mudassir Sheikha (Careem), Ronaldo Mouchawer (Souq), and celebrity and former NBA player turned entrepreneur, Rick Fox, amongst others.

Global Ventures is a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, which promises an immersive introduction to the world of venture capital. A good fit will find reward in an unstructured environment where individuals own their actions and have an outsized impact.

As this is a virtual internship, all candidates will be required to have access to a laptop and internet connection to take part in the program. Weekly engagement and collaboration will take place using remote working tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Notion amongst others. Please note that as the majority of the team is based in the UAE, working hours will fall within this time zone.
