Clinical Supervisor

Reports To: Clinical Director

 

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of patients. This person will provide clinical supervision to other staff seeking clinical endorsement, which will include both clinical consultation and administrative tasks. This person will review and sign-off on chart documentation, organize and provide clinical trainings (to include CEU approval and certificates), and will take the lead on maintaining and implementing a healthy and ethical clinical environment for patients and team members. This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to patients and their family members. The Clinical Supervisor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ensure all persons providing counseling services are functioning within their competent parameters and maintaining education to do so
  • Audit charts for policy and procedure compliance, appropriate documentation and completion of all internal paperwork and documents
  • Provide clinical supervision to other staff seeking clinical endorsement, and incoming interns from various universities, which will include both clinical consultation and administrative tasks
  • Review clinical documentation and provide signatures as appropriate
  • Assist and resource clinical team with needs for ongoing CEU requirements
  • Create and deliver clinical competency trainings as needed
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care
  • Must be able to fullfill all the responsibilities of the Counselor role, and may provide coverage and services on an adhoc basis, including case staffing and supervision, facilitate individual and group therapy, and clinical assessments
  • Collaborate with assigned patients in the development of written treatment plans; including patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning
  • Monitor assigned patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions
  • Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients and staff at all times
  • Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility
  • Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
  • Coordinate with community based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes, post discharge
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences or other relevant field required
  • Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered
  • Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employment
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in relevant field
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating adolescent clients assigned
  • Must hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patiens
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:

  • LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT required; license must be without restrictions and in good standing for the previous two (2) years, as defined in WAC 246-809-110
  • Must meet WAC 246-809-134 Supervisor requirements, and provide evidence of completion of Supervisor Training
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must maintain current nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment is inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities. Exposure to emotionally impaired patients will be frequent. Stress ranges from low to high depending on the situation
  • Must have the reasonable ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Must be reasonably capable of lifting fifteen (15) pounds
  • Indoor treatment setting and office environment
  • Use of a mouse and keyboard
  • Must be able to safely operate a vehicle

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and upon reasonable suspicion of use
  • Completion of new employee orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work, including acknowledgment of all Company policies
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Completion of background and professional reference checks
  • Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation:

  • $80,000 - $100,000 annual
