Freelance Social Media Content Creator (Tiny Mics)

About Flourish Labs

Flourish Labs is a healthcare company on a mission to scale professional peer support with tech to address the mental health crisis.

We expand the mental health workforce by hiring and training young adults with diverse backgrounds and past experience of mental health challenges to become certified Peer Support Specialists. On Peers.net, our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, teenagers and young adults can book a 1 on 1 session with a professional peer supporter of their choice, on demand.

Our professional peer supporters provide emotional support, teach skills, and share their knowledge and personal experiences dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, body image issues, LGBTQ+ questions, and more. More than half identify as LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC.

We ensure quality, manage risk and measure outcomes via a combination of human supervisors and AI. Our proprietary training curriculum was developed to state and national certification standards with experienced peers, online learning design experts, and young adults.

We partner with health plans and provider groups to deliver quality mental health care at lower cost.

Obi Felten (former Google) and Kim Newell Green (former Kaiser Permanente pediatrician) founded Flourish Labs in 2021. We are a seed stage startup backed by Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI fund), Collaborative Fund, Learn Capital, WGU Labs, One Mind, Tiny and angels with operating experience in healthcare and technology.
