Position Summary

Full time internship during the summer 2024 with potential to continue support part-time through holidays/school year. The Quality Engineering Intern will partner with the Quality Engineering and operations team on a variety of projects and assignments to contribute to overall business unit objective. This position is responsible for supporting the quality assurance department in the areas of product and material inspection and testing, labeling controls and verification, and product documentation and release. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Perform dimensional testing per respective testing procedures on all production lots.
•    Perform testing per validation protocols on validation samples.
•    Document test results and other testing related paperwork per Good Documentation Practice.
•    Completes all testing related activities in compliance with GMP and ISO regulations within safety guidelines.   
•    Support customer complaint investigation activities.
•    Support Nonconformance, Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS), and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) investigation activities.
•    Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
•    Review Device History Records for accuracy per applicable procedure.
•    Complete compiled data sheets with quality testing results on production lots as and when requested.
•    Support data collection process under improvement projects identified.
•    Support data analysis and reporting the results to help the team make decisions. 
•    Perform inspection on labels printed for production use as and when requested.
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Quality System, Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, safety rules, applicable procedures, and housekeeping standards.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Highschool graduate currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Science related field 
•    Knowledge and experience of working in the medical device industry or laboratory environment preferred.
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Power Point and Excel
•    Experience with SAP and Minitab preferred.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required.
•    Accurate typing and data entry skills required.
•    Ability to work independently and efficiently.
•    Basic statistics knowledge preferred. 
•    Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy.
