Assistant Media Buyer

ITN Networks, a leading Broadcast Media Company in NYC which manages 100+ national advertisers, is seeking a Buying Assistant to support our Media Department. This position offers a great opportunity to learn the business side of television advertising as it pertains to commercial air-time negotiation. Candidate must be a quick learner, detail oriented with strong organization skills, comfortable multi-tasking a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively in a team-based setting.

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Media Buyer located in New York, NY with 2 days in the office and 3 WFH days. The Assistant Media Buyer will be responsible for media planning, media strategy, media buying, and communication with clients and vendors. The Assistant Media Buyer will work closely with Media Buying team to ensure that all campaigns are executed flawlessly and meet client objectives.

  • Assist buyers to make sure all media schedules are running as ordered each quarter to meet delivery goals.
  • Support buyer needs on all accounts.
  • Create a positive and professional working relationship with stations and rep firms to maintain buys and solve problems.
  • Analyze and take care of makegoods/revisions to schedule.
  • Send orders/revisions and confirm them with the station.
  • Resolve discrepancies on a weekly basis using a tracking system.
  • Responsible for collecting pre-logs from the stations.
  • Resolve overrides and discrepancy reports on a monthly basis.
  • Send and confirm traffic revisions and traffic purges to the stations.
  • Responsible for taking care of the weekly program change report.
  • Handle the non-metered market report, out of flight report, and market coverage report.
  • Reconcile the monthly missing invoice report.
