Why we need you:

CSH is seeking an enthusiastic, results-oriented, equity-focused Intern for the spring 2024 semester who has a passion for the CSH mission with the proven ability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of communication and marketing projects, campaigns and initiatives through the production of video, photography, and other digital assets. 

The Video Production and Digital Media Intern will assist the CSH Communications and Marketing team to produce digital content for channels including but not limited to the CSH websites, social media, and email. Also, the Intern will support project-based work including editorial and content planning, website content, social media campaigns, and more. 

Specific Internship goals will be crafted collaboratively, based on student interests and CSH  communication and marketing needs.

The Intern can expect to exit the Internship experience with working knowledge of how quality video production is a key channel for telling the story of a national nonprofit’s mission. The Intern will learn how video and other assets interplay with digital communications, marketing, and website content management. Also, the role provides the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a nonprofit communications and marketing team.

  • An undergraduate student with an interest in digital communications, marketing, video 
  • production, and photography.
  • Experienced in all aspects of video production, including scripting, filming, production, and 
  • editing 
  • Ability to produce short-form (social media) videos as well as longer-form videos
  • Motion graphics experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of, and interest in, producing video assets that meet ADA accessibility 
  • standards
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including written and oral skills.
  • Comfort with working on a team that is often “virtual” and does much of its work via telephone, 
  • email and video conference.
  • Proven track record of dependability.
  • An exceptional and demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Talent to take initiative to implement projects and pursue goals with moderate supervision.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Facility and comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation:

$25 per hour for the duration of the Internship

Timeframe:

Start and end dates are flexible according to candidates’ academic schedule with an expectation of starting in late January 2024 through early May 2024 (up to 16 weeks) and up to 15 hours (minimum 12 hours) per week during regular business hours, and as determined by the student’s availability.
