Summer Intern/Insights and Analytics

Department Description:

Insights & Analytics is a core department within US Commercial that partners with brand marketing to deliver insights and analytics to fuel faster data-driven decision making.  Within this department, the Performance Analytics and Reporting team is the information nervous system that ensures the right data, analytics, and insights gets to the right stakeholders.  

Job Description:

This position will allow the selected candidate to develop improved insight and analytics deliverables for the vaccine franchises. In this role the candidate will partner with brand teams to understand the driving factors for their market, identify the best ways to display the important metrics, and present a final proposal to brand and Insights & Analytics leadership.

Potential projects include:

  • Redesign of a brand health deck to better convey key information and incorporate greater levels of automation
  • Training and roll out for enhancements to the Home Office dashboard
  • Assisting with market research projects
  • Segmentation analysis of key customers (stretch goal). 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Science or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook 
  • Experience in data visualization ​ 
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throug12 week assignment.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of how to manage a project from start through to completion 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills
  • Experience in data base management and/or business intelligent tools like SQL, R, Python, SAS, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
