Solar Operations Internship

This partnership will support and accelerate the expansion of GSPP’s objectives. 

GSPP has over 70 employees and is headquartered in Stamford, CT with a legal office in Tallahassee, FL. 

 

Intern Job Description 

Green Street Power Partners (GSPP) is seeking collaborative, highly driven and results-oriented professionals for part-time internships within various departments. Applicants will be considered for Asset Management, Due Diligence, Capital Markets, and Project Operations based on interest and experience. As a valuable member of a fast-paced workplace, these positions require attention to detail, superior communication skills, and the ability to work within a cross-functional team of professionals.  

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with members across all teams at GSPP. The candidate will also be able to work independently and will be an important contributor to our dynamic team. Each Intern will report to an analyst in their respective department.  

During the interview process, candidates are welcome to provide feedback on their preferred GSPP department.  

 

Knowledge/Qualifications 

  • Applicant should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program. Juniors and Seniors preferred.
  • Preferred Majors: Political Science, Environmental Studies, Government, Pre-Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience with solar energy, real estate due diligence, permitting, or legal analysis a plus
  • Keen attention to detail: ability to thoroughly review complex documents and flag potential issues and inconsistencies
  • Highly organized: ability to manage and track progress across multiple projects at once; keep data rooms up to date with project documents
  • Ability to adapt; pivot between multiple high priority tasks and meet new challenges as they arise
  • Excellent research capabilities; desire to read legislation
  • Ability to thoughtfully communicate complex issues and problem-solve within a team
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools and other relevant technology platforms
  • Belief in the power of renewable energy to tackle the climate crisis
  • Comfortable using excel to perform data analysis tasks

 

Hours/Compensation 

  • Paid
  • Three days per week (Tues – Thurs), in-person at GSPP’s Stamford, CT office
  • The internship will be 8-12 weeks, depending on school schedules
  • Commuter rail passes provided as needed
  • Lunch provided daily in the office
