Intern, I LOVE, NY

BASIC FUNCTION:  

Do you have a passion for tourism and social media? Looking for an opportunity to make an impact? The I LOVE NY Marketing team is looking for a motivated and energetic intern to help us with social media and digital analytics efforts for Summer 2023. During this internship, you’ll get hands on experience with managing social media for a major brand and measuring results and performance.

 

WORK PERFORMED:

Social Media:

  • Help with UGC image and video sourcing and rights acquisition 
  • Assist with video editing for TikTok and Instagram Reels posts
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing I LOVE NY organic social media content including posts, Stories, Reels, video, etc.
  • Join team content brainstorms and participate in creative development
  • Spot trends on social platforms, research social media holidays, and identify influencers
  • Support the team with research projects, as assigned (such as influencer traffic, content mapping, or competitive analysis)

 

Analytics

  • Assist with analyzing social media performance and put together insights for weekly reporting
  • Pull data for weekly reports 
  • Assist with social media tagging

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education level required: Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably majoring in marketing, business, digital media, social media, communications, English, or journalism.

 

Knowledge Required:

  • Proficiency in social media posting best practices on popular platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X
  • Proficiency in social media KPIs and performance measurement
  • Talent for curating engaging visual content, including photos and videos
  • Proficiency in video editing for social media (i.e. TikTok, Reels)
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in basic social media performance measurement
  • Ability to spot data trends and draw insights from social media performance metrics
