Pathways Paid Internship - Information and Arts Student Trainee/Information Technology Student Trainee
USAID Pathways paid Internship
Information and Arts Student Trainee/Information Technology Student Trainee
The Pathways Career Paid Internship is a year-round program offering full or part-time opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. It requires a commitment of 20 hours per week during the academic year and increasing to 40 hours per week in the summer or during breaks. Interns may work on-site or virtually, depending on the requirements of the assigned USAID Mission, Bureau, or Independent Office (M/B/IO).
To qualify, students must remain enrolled in a degree program, maintaining good academic standing. A security clearance is required, and interns must sign a participant's agreement outlining program requirements. Successful completion of a minimum of 640 hours of work experience, concurrent with degree requirements, is necessary. Performance must meet the Agency's approved management system, and a favorable recommendation for conversion from the supervisor is essential.
Upon graduation, interns have 180 days to convert into a competitive service position if available; otherwise, the internship concludes.
