Part-Time Paralegal Internship

Treyz Law Group is a boutique intellectual property law firm. Our practice is primarily focused on domestic and international patent prosecution and portfolio management services.

We are seeking someone for a part-time paralegal internship position (20-40 hours/week). This is a fully remote position, so excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills are required. 

Train to become a patent paralegal and get your foot in the door of the exciting world of intellectual property law! Assist our paralegal staff with managing the firm patent portfolio by helping to organize weekly reports, prepare patent documents, draft formal papers for attorneys, correspond with foreign counsel, and aid in monthly billing procedures. 

No experience is necessary. You will have the opportunity to work with each of our attorneys and patent agents, who will provide you with all required legal training.

This position is a good match for students who are looking for a full-time or part-time position during the school year leading to a full-time paralegal position after graduation.

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities will include

·    Docketing deadlines

·    Drafting formal papers (Declarations, Assignments)

·    Corresponding with foreign counsel

·    Handling correspondence from the United States Patent and Trademark Office

   Running weekly reports of deadlines to monitor

·    Drafting official papers to be filed in the United States Patent and Trademark Office such Information Disclosure Statements, Preliminary Amendments and Patent Office Petition Requests

·    Provide administrative support to attorney and agents as necessary

Requirements:

·    Aptitude for complex work in the legal profession

·    Advanced Microsoft Office skills

·    Outstanding attention to detail

·    Excellent time management and organizational skills
