Development Operations Database Coordinator

Supervisor: Director of Development Operations

Salary Range: $50,000-$55.000

 

The Role: The Development Operations Database Coordinator supports the operation of Project Bread’s Development Office to maintain and improve the Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database. The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include data entry and proper gift acknowledgment, ensuring database integrity, maintaining efficient database operations, and most important, ensuring that the database is an effective fundraising tool for the development department.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Gift Acknowledgment

  • Manage data entry procedures, gift processing and pledge management activity in a timely and accurate fashion with keen attention to detail.
  • Coordinate the production, management and mailing of acknowledgement letters and tribute cards.

Database Integrity & Management

  • Maintain the integrity and security of the database while adhering to Project Bread’s policies and procedures.
  • Management of database hygiene and maintain accurate constituent records. Responsible for maintaining updated donor information, including running quarterly updates and finding key contact information for constituents.
  • Design procedures to manage and execute regular database clean-up.

Development and Communications: Fundraising, Tracking and Reporting

  • Assist with list pulls for direct mail, appeals, e-blasts and invitations with an eye for precision, strategy, and stewardship.
  • Support fundraising events and activities.
  • Partner with development staff to provide research reports on donors and prospects as directed.

 

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the annual Walk for Hunger, including working as event staff the weekend of the Walk, attending pre-Walk events as assigned, and supporting Walk for Hunger fundraising efforts.
  • Participate in organization-wide events and meetings as assigned.

  • 1-3 years professional experience in development, database coordination, or nonprofits preferred Database Experience (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
  • Expertise in the functional use of Excel, Word, and Outlook (mail merges, report generation).
  • Excellent word processing and data entry skills; high attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and to work effectively under deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

All employees are currently working a hybrid remote and in-office model and are expected to spend at least one day in office per week. The Development Operations Database Coordinator will need to be present in the East Boston office on a regular basis.
