Program Associate OR Manager
As a Program Associate, you’ll support the end-to-end journey of the Coding it Forward Fellowship, from talent recruitment to personalized one-on-one support. In this role, you’ll be a frontline partner dedicated to empowering our Fellows and guaranteeing their success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment
- Develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy, including defining timelines, target audiences, and campaign goals.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external organizations to enhance recruiting efforts, including collaborating with academic institutions, nonprofits, and other partners. This will include implementing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy and expanding Coding it Forward's reach to underrepresented students.
- Serve as the primary support for prospective candidates, responding to inquiries, providing timely and accurate information, and ensuring follow-up for issue resolution.
Talent Management
- Manage day-to-day program execution, serving as the frontline responder for Fellows' inquiries and conducting one-on-one meetings to ensure their needs are met effectively.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan virtual professional and social events, and host events as needed throughout the summer.
- Support Coding it Forward’s alumni community through one-on-one support, as needed, and planning quarterly community events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management: Previous experience in project management or administration, especially in a fast-paced startup or nonprofit environment.
- Event Planning: Previous experience planning and/or hosting events, especially for online audiences.
- Working with Students: Passionate about working with students and early-career professionals from diverse backgrounds, with a preference for candidates with previous experience in student-facing roles.
- Knowledge of Public Interest Technology: Demonstrated interest in the "public interest technology" or technology for social good space.
