BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
SUMMARY:
The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

These individuals build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
The Global Manufacturing group within TOPS is responsible for the large-scale production of our life-changing therapies. Global Manufacturing ensures BioMarin has a reliable supply of safe and effective products for both its clinical and commercial needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT:
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic summer intern to redesign our Global Manufacturing SharePoint site. The ideal candidate should have a passion for web design and be able to create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages. The position will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team and key stakeholders to understand the requirements and take lead on the design, development, and rollout of a SharePoint site that meets the needs of our evolving organization.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of web design principles and best practices.
- Practical experience building and maintaining a publicly accessibly website.
- Understanding of basic front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Experience with web content management systems like WordPress, Squarespace, or SharePoint
- Keen interest in solving challenges with creative solutions.
- Basic project management experience.
Desired Skills:
- Business process automation to support site maintenance.
- Understanding of documentation practices.
Qualifications/Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
- Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be available to work 40 hours a week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 21.00 to $ 30.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
