Videography & Digital Asset Arts Intern - Cleveland Museum of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Videography & Digital Asset Management Intern. In this role, interns will plan and execute a promotional video that assists in telling the story of the CMA’s mission of creating transformative experiences through art. This intern will provide an overview of the museum’s world-class collections, robust performing arts schedule, community arts programming, nightlife, and more.  

We are seeking a visual storyteller to create an archive of b-roll that will be used for ongoing marketing efforts and implement an organizational system for video and other digital assets. This intern will work closely with the marketing department and other museum partners, sitting in during meetings and working with these partners to develop the best possible final product. Interns are expected to attend a variety of museum events (such as MIX, City Stages, Parade the Circle, etc.) outside of normal work hours to obtain video footage.  

Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of the Microsoft and Adobe suites, and an artistic eye are essential, as is a collaborative spirit and willingness to interact with other departments at the museum and the public. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and can be pursuing a degree in a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to: Marketing, Communications, Visual Communications, Media Studies, Business, Art, Art History, and Museum Studies. 

The primary deliverable for this intern to produce will be a completed 1–3-minute video piece that contributes to CMA’s overall brand campaign to be used for ongoing marketing efforts. This intern will also be responsible for developing a video storyboard for CMA’s brand campaign, creating an archive of museum b-roll, and implementing an organizational system for footage and other digital assets.  

Eligibility Requirements 

To apply, applicant must:  

Be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree. You must be a Junior or Senior as of January 2024. 

Reside or attend college within Cleveland or the boundary established by the Inner Ring Suburbs.  

Have an Expected Family Contribution of less than $6,250 

Additional Requirements and Application Materials 

  • Interns should be proficient and knowledgeable of basic camera functions and video editing software. This individual must also be prepared to share examples of videography and/or photography work.  
  • Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume/CV, a portfolio of video or photo work (if applicable), and a list of at least two professional/academic references with contact information.
