The DEIB Intern will be responsible for various administrative duties and responsibilities focused around NFP’s DEIB initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with organization and scheduling of DEIB activities and events 
  • Attend available DEIB trainings, review content and report on applicability and accessibility for employees 
  • Coordinate communications, initiatives and projects with the NFP DEIB Advisory Board, Regional DEIB Committees and Business Resource Groups
  • Learn about NFP’s current guidelines and policies and conduct research around inclusive policies and practices that can further DEIB initiatives
  • Update NFP internal DEIB platforms and resources
  • Create DEIB-related content for Workplace (tool used by NFP for internal communication) 
  • Assist in planning of annual DEIB Advisory Board retreat (possible travel required)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: 

  • Proficient in writing and editing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information 
  • Proven administrative skills and expertise 
  • Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Demonstrated interest in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, focused studies or projects around DEIB initiatives
