Emmaus Inc., a non-profit in Haverhill, MA, is seeking a Second ShiftDirect Support Professional to become part of our hard-working, solutions-driven team. Make a difference the lives of homeless single adults, helping them rebuild their lives and reach their fullest potential.

We are looking for an energetic, supportive and committed individual to fill the role of Direct Support Professional in Emmaus’ individual shelter. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of our 40 bed adult shelter: ensuring timely referral, screening, intake process for shelter guests; managing volunteers; linking guests to community resources; coordinating food and meal preparations; and monitoring/addressing safety concerns.

Emmaus is willing to provide training and support to help the right person to grow into the job.

Requirements of the Direct Support Professional:

  • MUST be able to work 2pm-10pm shift, Monday through Friday
  • MUST have valid driver’s license
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detailed oriented with strong follow through
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass CORI and driving records check.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Salary: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
