Job Family Summary

The Investments Bank Loan team is responsible for the reporting and oversight of Allstate’s inventory of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO).  There are multiple processes that the CLO Operations team owns that are designed to help achieve this goal.  By verifying data on internal applications and comparing it to data from external sources, the CLO team ensures consistency and validity across applications.  The CLO team is also responsible for the ongoing accuracy of reports, both monthly and quarterly, that are made public to the Investing community. The team serves as the single point of contact for all CLO investment questions and resolution across Investments.

This position is a hybrid role, meaning your schedule may consist of time in an office setting and time working remotely from your home. The hybrid model is intended to provide greater flexibility – and will mean something different to each team, job and employee. Office presence is driven by the nature of the work and team needs. You’ll work from home for the remainder of the time you’re not in the office. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

This position will report in person to our Northbrook or River Point, Chicago office 1 day a week.
 

Job Summary:

The analyst is primarily responsible for Bank Loan and AIMCO trade settlement, report generation, analysis, and validation, as well as the AIMCO monthly/payment reports and post-payment date reporting. This role is also responsible for ensuring CLO compliance calculations are accurate. It is critical for the Bank Loan Support Consultant keeps constant lines of communication open with various internal and external groups in regard to trade settlement status.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily trade support for Bank Loans (BLS) and AIMCO confirms and allocation of trades on ClearPar, trade enrichment in Trade Capture, coordinate all legal documents between Front Office, Trustee Banks, Legal, and the Bank Loan Maximis team (data quality/compliance/timeliness key)
  • Interpret reporting rules to create, maintain, and analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports looking for and analyzing trends and deliver them to Front Office, Legal and Upper Management.
  • Prepare AIMCO Determination Date reports and coordinate, analyze, investigate, and independently resolve monthly discrepancies in timely manner with trustee.
  • Conduct analysis and use independent judgement to determine if CLO calculations are accurate.
  • Maintain accuracy of Security Master data between Data Warehouse and Aladdin and investigate and resolve issues as they arise.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of related experience, preferably in the Investments or Financial Services industries.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • General working knowledge of the Investment industry.
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good collaborative skills. (collaborates across teams to implement decisions in a integrated manner)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, diverse and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
