Departmental Specialist 13 - Legislative Administrative Assistant

This position will perform a wide variety of duties to assist the legislative affairs director who serves as policy advisor for Treasury’s Executive Office. The legislative affairs director serves as a member of the Treasurer’s senior policy staff and is responsible for directing the activities of the Office of Legislative Affairs and the Office of Advocacy Services which includes legislation and general policy development. This position reports to the legislative director and will assist and advise in all areas of the director’s responsibilities. This includes researching, interpreting and analyzing legislative and program policy issues; compiling, analyzing, and preparing reports and memos; and conducting special projects. Will work with appropriate Treasury staff to ensure policies, guidelines and procedures are consistent with legislative requirements and advance the mission and goals of Treasury.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.


Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
