Physical Education Teacher

Old Rochester Regional School District is currently seeking a Physical Education Teacher at our Junior High School for the 2024-2025 school year. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion work as well as an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in school community are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Engage students in both team sports and individual activities, while explaining the safe and correct way to engage in physical fitness

• Teach social interaction skills as students learn and work together in the Physical Education setting

• Plan instruction that motivates and excites the students while emphasizing the importance of life-long physical activity and awareness of self

• Teach the PE standards from the Massachusetts curriculum framework with regard to national PE standards

• Recognize and differentiates instruction that meets the needs of all students and abilities
