Motorola interns work on real-world projects, gain exposure to cross-functional teams, develop business acumen and get to network with various levels of Executive leadership.  This paid internship is based on site in Chicago, IL.

About the Team:

The cloud analytics team is responsible for supporting over 1300 users of Google cloud products as well as managing the collection of data from millions of devices on a daily basis.  We support both internally developed tools as well as off the shelf tools.  Other responsibilities include approving data collected, assuring the quality of the data collected, and developing ETLs to manage the data collected as well as organize aggregated data for reporting purposes.

Description and Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer 2024 Intern to join our team and assist with organizing our team documentation, monitoring and flagging data collection that is out of spec, identifying abandoned jobs and reports, and refreshing an existing Machine Learning model.  

This internship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with our talented engineering professionals, engage in problem-solving, review and gain essential knowledge of data science and engineering with exposure to Google Cloud products like Big Query.

Primary Responsibilities:

Documentation review and cleanup

Review and modify existing data collection specifications

Digging into, analyzing, and disabling abandoned reports and ETLs

Reviewing and refreshing an existing Machine Learning Model

Basic Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in an engineering field.

Experience with the following technical skills: basic programming (Python a plus) and statistics

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest in data science and data engineering

SQL

Basic knowledge of Machine Learning Principles

Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
