Airport Operations Intern

Reports To: Regional Operations Lead: Airports

 

Job Summary:                

This internship provides an opportunity to work with the Airport’s Operations team to support internal departments and clients. Primary responsibilities include projects related to improving Operational Efficiencies and Execution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • ACS Specialty (Experiential Activations) Support
    • Supports ACS Specialty Manager in obtaining and organizing required information and documentation to secure internal and external (airport) approval for Specialty projects.
    • Collaborates with airports operations in-field staff to gather and document critical information related to approved exhibit spaces within the airports for auditing purposes.
  • In-field Operations Admin. Support
    • Assists with data collection, analysis, and reporting as it relates to Outdoor 411 app usage.
    • Assists Risk Management with record keeping and organization of contractor/vendor Certificates of Insurance
    • Creates and organizes database of required engineering/CAD drawings needed for inventory spec system.
    • Supports In-field operations team in spec migration to new system when available
  • In-field Operations Training Manuals
    • Assists in compiling and organizing existing in-field operations training materials into a comprehensive training manual for new and current employees. 
  • Visit Airports for overall experience and training opportunity (local to Allentown airport, PHL or EWR)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • 4-year college degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related field in progress. 
  • Open to students starting their senior year.
  • 3.0+ GPA

  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills are a must.
  • Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • The employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.

  • The employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens and to adjust focus.
  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

  • Internship length varies – 10 weeks for Summer; temporary role.
