Bureau/Division Overview
The Data Analytics Group is responsible for audit selection and analysis utilizing DOR's data warehouse as well as analysis in our AWS cloud Data Lake.
Position Summary
The candidate will learn how Data Analytics drives key big data-based initiatives that will generate significant benefits throughout the audit division. The candidate will be exposed to all our existing and new applications/reports and learn how they are developed and supported with other agency applications/reports. The candidate will also gain exposure to and learn how we perform unit testing, preparation of test data, conducting test runs, and reviewing input and output data.
Core Responsibilities
Learn and assist in generating audit queries from within our various database applications
· Produce standard and ad hoc reports using SQL, as well as other tools and data sources
· Exposure to how Data Analytics conducts advanced data mining, statistical analysis and research activities
Preferred Qualifications
Well versed with Microsoft Excel and other office applications
Knowledge of R/R-Studio or Python
· Experience working with Jira and AWS
· Experience working with Tableau
· Expert knowledge of SQL/PL SQL programming
As part of the Future of Work Initiative, the agency is adopting a hybrid work model. Hybrid work is a mix of in-office work and telework. This position will work remotely some days and in-person on other days.
