Summer Internship Program

Mystic Seaport Museum is pleased to sponsor a “Behind the Scenes” Summer Internship Program.  This summer program is designed for undergraduate students who are deeply committed to diversity and interested in pursuing careers in Marketing, Public Programs & Events or Visitor Journeys. Interns will spend 10 weeks working on projects that provide critical support to the mission throughout different departments of Mystic Seaport Museum.  The goal of these paid internships is to provide real work experience that will allow diverse undergraduate students to utilize their skills and studies in an exciting and fun environment.

Candidates from BIPOC, LGBT+, working class, and/or other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Housing is provided as well as $ 6,250.00 stipend for the 10 weeks.

Requirements

 Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Currently Enrolled in an accredited college or university, seeking a degree or certification at the undergraduate or graduate level
• Be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the program
• Be able to travel or reside in Mystic, CT from June 3 through August 9
