Job Overview: 

The Business Analyst - Power Automate Intern will play a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation initiatives under the guidance of the VP of Process Optimization and Technology Adoption. This position will participate in transitioning manual operations to streamlined, automated processes utilizing Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint. Key contributions include conducting thorough requirements gathering, performing data analysis, designing process maps, and developing and refining automated workflows. The intern will also take part in enhancing and sustaining the performance of existing Power Automate solutions. Collaborating closely with IT leadership, the intern will contribute to achieving strategic goals within set timelines.

Job Responsibilities: 

As a Business Analyst – Power Automate Intern, you will engage with specific business partners to replace manual, email-based approval processes with sophisticated, system-driven automation solutions. Initially, you will focus on establishing baseline Power Automate workflows, gaining essential insights into current operational procedures and the technological ecosystem. Subsequent responsibilities involve: 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to pinpoint processes ripe for automation, identifying necessary data fields, and determining appropriate SharePoint locations for workflow integration. 
  • Assessing the availability of existing workflows that could be adapted to new requirements, facilitating a more efficient implementation path. 
  • Designing and implementing bespoke workflows in designated SharePoint sites, ensuring correct permissions are in place for secure and functional access. 
  • Continuously liaising with business partners to refine and optimize workflow solutions, driving efficiency, and supporting the organization's goals for technological excellence and innovation. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited university. 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills. 
  • Self-discipline and ability to complete tasks without constant oversight. 
  • Passion for quality, process improvement, and learning new skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint required. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate required. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps required. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Word. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams. 
  • Understanding of data analysis. 
  • Understanding of requirements gathering. 
  • Understanding of creating and reading process diagrams.
