Financial Business Analyst (1684)

We are seeking to expand the finance team with a Business Analyst who will support finance, as well as other departments within NEB, with reporting, analytics, and forecasting of expenses. Other areas of responsibility will be to assist in developing new tools to analyze business performance trends and drive process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between purchasing and various department heads to identify and establish purchase orders for recurring expenses to improve reporting and analytics.

Develop and distribute point of service dashboards to provide insights to various internal stakeholders to understand and monitor expense spending, budgeting, and long-term planning.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop a fiscal year budget and assist in tracking NEB’s performance to these forecasts. Present findings at various planning and review meetings.

Provide guidance, tools, and training explaining how to code invoices, manually, or within SAP/Concur to improve efficiency and accuracy of expense reporting.

Maintain cost centers across the organization to ensure proper categorization of expenses.

Prepare journal entries, when necessary, to reclassify transactions to the proper general ledger account or cost center.

Evaluate and recommend cost-saving measures or opportunities for the business.

 

Required Qualifications: 

B.A. in a business or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.

Expertise in SAP, Tableau, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills.

Self-motivated team player with the ability to work well independently.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once with flexibility and adaptability to meet deadlines.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

A scientific background is a bonus.
