Corporate Controller (1685)

We are seeking to expand the finance team with a Corporate Controller who is proactive, resourceful, and can exhibit strong problem-solving skills. You will perform a crucial role supporting the financial management and accounting functions of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, general ledger and payroll.

Coordinate the annual audit of consolidated financial statements and employee retirement benefit plans.

Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements on a quarterly basis.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, federal taxes and state taxes.

Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Monitor and analyze financial data trends and budget variances to provide recommendations for improvement.

Oversee the employee expense report process, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany transfer pricing policies.

Lead a high-performing finance team by providing guidance to team members and supporting new initiatives.

Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency within the company.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Proven experience in a similar role at a multinational company involved in the manufacture of products.

Strong understanding of cost accounting principles applicable to a manufacturing company, as well as financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
