Position Summary:

The Operations Associate (HR), part of the OceanX Business Operations group, will direct all HR-related activities for OceanX including talent acquisition, performance management, culture, and diversity efforts. These activities will be conducted in conjunction with respective counterparts at the Dalio Family Office.  A major part of this role is to liaise and interact with employees and contractors to ensure a high performing work environment. This role is based in New York city but might require travel to support future OceanX offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruiting efforts for OX, and interface with talent acquisition at the Dalio Family Office
  • Administer process to search for and procure all vendors and contractors for OceanX
  • Liaise with DFO HR to manage onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors
  • Lead the annual performance management and review process
  • Develop and implement initiatives to inspire a high-performing and fun work environment
  • Plan employee well-being activities including culture and community efforts
  • Plan, execute and action against our internal employee surveys
  • Lead DE&I efforts for OceanX and coordinate with the larger efforts at the Dalio Family Office
  • Determine training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decisioning support through objective KPIs
  • Help with business operations and reporting, as required

Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience:
    • 4+ years of experience in business operations, HR operations, talent acquisition, or in an analytics/reporting function, preferably with one year in HR-related area
    • Demonstrated project management and analytical capabilities and experience
    • Experience with administering performance appraisal systems, KPIs and metrics, a plus
    • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, staff, and external parties
    • Proficient/Advanced MS Office Suite (excel, word, ppt)
    • Experience with HR, recruiting and project management systems, a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $80,000 - $117,500 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset), potentially a success-driven incentive payment and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
