Tech Skilling Program Coordinator VISTA

The Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) is designed to build the capacity of our community partners, develop inclusive tech skilling programs, and cultivate locally supported career pathways to drive tech employment for low-income, underemployed, and unemployed rural residents. Through capacity building, CORI positions communities to more effectively empower economically disadvantaged rural residents to start future-proof and good-paying tech careers, including through expanded tech skilling partnerships, wrap-around services, and career pathways that align employer needs with local tech skilling efforts. CORI also contributes to the development of models and best practices for developing tech skilling programs in rural areas that can scale across all the communities where CORI works and beyond.

As the Tech Skilling Program Coordinator VISTA, you will work to develop and implement tech skilling programs, as well as coordinate engagement efforts towards community partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries of tech skilling programs. In this role, there are four primary objectives that you are expected to complete by the end of your service year: (1) Build the capacity of and expand upon tech skilling programs. (2) Coordinate tech skilling events to build ecosystem capacity. (3) Empower residents to participate in their ecosystem with inclusive program activities. (4) Develop program-based deliverables identified by the supervisor.
