Dance Camp Directors

With Herndon camps you’ll build your resume and your professional skills by gaining experience in leadership, decision-making, and communication. Summer camps are a renowned springboard to progressively responsible full and part-time positions.

DUTIES:

Under direction of Performing Arts Supervisor, teaches, conducts, and supervises the daily summer dance camp program for ages 6-12 which involves dance class, outdoor play, crafts, and activities.
Enforces all regulations pertaining to the health and safety of participants. 
REQUIREMENTS:

Previous dance training and teaching skills required
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parent interaction is required with this position.
Must work 5 weeks of camp. 
HOURS:

Monday - Friday July 8th - August 9th, Hours 8:30am - 1:30pm 
LOCATION:

Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Avenue
Registration discount to Herndon Odyssey camp** for age-eligible children of temporary or PTF employees who are working directly to support the summer camp program(s). Including camp counselors, Head Counselors, Directors and Assistant Directors, Inclusion coordinator and leaders, Camp administrator for science, nature, dance, tennis, Odyssey, and Teen Discovery camps. Contracted camp staff not included. 
Can apply for up to 2 children*** of the staff member, 25% discount off the resident rate; only during employee’s scheduled work weeks; enrollment maximums apply, pre-registration required.
**Specialty camps are not included (dance, tennis, contracted camps, science, nature, etc)
