Special Education Teacher

For 50 years, Villa Maria School has believed in the extraordinary capabilities of every student. Our small, thoughtfully designed classes ensure that each student receives the individualized attention they need to succeed. With a team of dedicated and skilled teachers, we create an inclusive and supportive environment where our students, who have diagnoses that include language-based learning disorders, auditory processing disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, ASD, and ADHD, realize their potential by developing meaningful relationships and engaging in lifelong learning through skill development.

We are searching for an elementary/middle school teacher with a literacy background or special education certification. At Villa, each student's program is designed to provide skills remediation in small classes (4:1 ratio), with an emphasis on social-emotional development, in a supportive learning community. Students are grouped with other students with similar academic and social-emotional goals so that these can be targeted by the teacher within the classroom throughout the span of the day.

The successful Villa Maria teacher has a great sense of humor and is a creative thinker who is flexible and patient, works well within a team environment and has excellent writing and communication skills.

Join us in our mission to positively impact the lives of children and support the success of our students academically, socially, and emotionally.
