Commissioning Engineer

The Commissioning Engineer will support new construction building commissioning and existing building retro-commissioning projects. The qualified candidate shall have an engineering degree focused on Mechanical, Electrical, Construction or Architectural. The candidate will interface daily with both design and construction professionals as well as clients, trade contractors, and facility managers. Position requires 50% onsite presence during the installation, startup, and functional testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Possess project specific knowledge of the program’s commissioning requirements as defined in the project specifications and commissioning plan. – Assists in the development, coordination, and execution of the design phase, construction phase, testing/training phase, warranty phase activities, and final commissioning report. - Establishes the scope, work plan and work schedule and ensures this is communicated to the Project staff and Department Managers. - Ensures that programs are conducted within budget and on schedule. - Performs commissioning reviews of construction documents. - Attends and actively participates in project coordination meetings. - Records and distributes commissioning coordination meeting minutes. - Reviews shop drawings and equipment submittals.

•Performs Construction/Installation Observations

•Evaluates equipment and building control/SCADA system installations with respect to contract

documents and industry standards

•Evaluates equipment and building control system installations with respect to the construction schedule

•Provides detailed daily construction observation reports or as required when working on a project location

•Assists in the Training of Facility Operators on Building Systems

•Witnesses and reports on piping hydrostatic testing, duct air leakage testing

•Witnesses Startup Procedures

•Directs Functional Test Procedures

•Assists in Troubleshooting
